Belavia flight ticket Terms & Conditions due to COVID-19

Temporary rules become effective from the date of signing and are valid until further notice.

During the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic the following rules for rebooking and refunds of tickets for Belavia operated flights would apply:

1. If the flight is canceled

Refunds:
  • Full refund of the ticket amount, no penalty applies.
  • If a passenger claims to reimburse the penalty amount charged for the voluntary refund of the ticket according the fare rules prior to the official announcement of the flight cancellation, no reimbursement will be provided.
  • If a passenger claims for the voluntary ticket refund prior to the official announcement of the flight cancellation, but the actual refund is made after the flight has been canceled, the full ticket amount is refunded, no penalties apply.
Changes:
  • A one-time free rebooking of the departure date for the same route is allowed until December 31, 2020 (inclusive). Reservation for a new date is made in the same booking class as in the original ticket.

 

2. If the flight is not canceled, but there is an official ban on the entry / exit of citizens:

Refunds:
  • When a passenger applies for a refund of the ticket before departure of the corresponding flight, full refund of the unused segments is made, no penalty applies.
  • When a passenger applies for a refund of the ticket after departure of the corresponding flight (in case of NOSHOW), for the tickets issued on/before April 4, 2020 for the flights departing on/before April 16, 2020 – full refund of the unused segments is made, no penalty applies.
  • When a passenger applies for a refund of the ticket after departure (in case of NOSHOW) of the corresponding flight, for the tickets issued on/before April 4, 2020 for the flights departing on/after April 17, 2020 – the refund of the unused segments are made in accordance with the applicable fare rules.
  • When a passenger applies for a refund of the ticket after departure of the corresponding flight (in case of NOSHOW), for the tickets issued on/after April 5, 2020 – the ticket is non-refundable, including the tickets of the brands SMART, FLEX and BUSINESS.
Changes:
  • When a passenger applies for the rebooking of the originally issued ticket before departure of the corresponding flight – a one-time free rebooking of the departure date for the same route and within the same RBD is allowed until December 31, 2020 (inclusive), regardless of the fare brand of the original ticket.
    In case if the RBD of the original ticket is not available for the new date, the fare difference should be collected, but the penalty fee would not apply.
  • When a passenger applies for the rebooking of the originally issued ticket after departure of the corresponding flight (in case of NO-SHOW), for tickets issued on/before April 4, 2020 for the flights departing on/before April 16, 2020 – no penalty applies.
  • When a passenger applies for the rebooking of the originally issued ticket after departure of the corresponding flight (in case of NO-SHOW), for the tickets issued on/before April 4, 2020 for the flights departing on/after April 17, 2020 – the rebooking is made in accordance with the applicable fare rules.
  • When a passenger applies for the rebooking of the originally issued ticket after departure of the corresponding flight (in case of NO-SHOW), for the tickets issued on/after April 5, 2020 – changes to the ticket are made with an obligatory payment of the penalty EUR 100.00 (or the equivalent of local currency ), including tickets of the brands SMART, FLEX and BUSINESS.

 

3. If the flight is not canceled and there is no official ban on the entry / exit of citizens:

Refunds:
  • When a passenger applies for a refund of the ticket before or after departure of the corresponding flight – the refund is made in accordance with the applicable fare rules.
Changes:
  • When a passenger applies for rebooking of the originally issued ticket before departure of the corresponding flight – the changes conditions apply in accordance with the applicable fare rules.
  • When a passenger applies for rebooking of the originally issued ticket after departure of the corresponding flight (in case of NO-SHOW) – the changes conditions apply in accordance with the applicable fare rules.
